Freshman - University of FloridaTransfer is most successful for students who have completed the AA degree from a Florida public community college, or 60 transferable semester hours at an accredited college or university. As a junior transfer at this level, students must have earned a minimum of a 2.0 at all institutions attended, have completed the foreign language requirement, and have completed the pre-requisite coursework for the intended major.

The first type of transfer student has earned 13- 59 transferable semester college hours. This type of transfer student would be a freshman or sophomore on the UF campus. Due to a lack of space, this is the most difficult way to transfer into UF. In the recent past, requirements to transfer in this category have been close to, or equivalent to, the Honors Program requirements. This means a student must have a weighted 4.0 high school GPA as computed by UF, a minimum of 3.0 on all college work attempted, and a 1400 SAT or 33 ACT.
